The head teacher and governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who is committed and passionate about primary education, in order to provide high quality support in our friendly and inclusive mainstream school.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is able to work effectively as part of a team
• Has excellent communication skills and is committed to building positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff
• Has experience of working in a school, ideally in both Foundation Phase and KS2
• Is able to support a pupil 1:1 and also pupils in small groups to help them achieve their educational goals
• Is able to support pupils in creating long term positive attitude changes and develop pupils' life skills and aspirations
• Can offer creative and dynamic ways to engage a pupil in education
• Is compassionate and understanding
• Can enthuse, motivate and engage children in all areas of learning
• Will be willing to contribute to the broader life of the school community

Level 2 Teaching Assistant (temporary, in the first instance, from 1 September 2025)

Grade 4 (Point 5-6) SCP 5 £25,410-£25,813 per annum (subject to pending pay award) (pro rata and subject to term time adjustment) 27.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per annum Plus, 2.5 hours lunchtime supervision is (Grade 3) £24,628 pro rata (pay award pending)
