About Us:

Tre Uchaf Primary School is dedicated to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all our pupils. We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team on a temporary, part-time basis.

Job Description:

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work in our foundation phase. The successful candidates will support the classroom teacher in delivering tailored educational programs, assist with the personal care needs of pupils, and help create a positive and nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the well-being and development of all pupils.
  • Assist the classroom teacher in planning and delivering individualised development plans (IDPs).
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to pupils with additional learning needs.
  • Help with the personal care needs of pupils, including feeding, toileting, and mobility assistance.
  • Monitor and record pupils' progress and provide feedback to the classroom teacher.
  • Support pupils during transitions and break times.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Relevant qualifications in education or childcare is essential.
  • Experience working with children, particularly those with severe and complex additional learning needs, is preferred.
  • A compassionate and patient approach to working with children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A good understanding of child development and educational practices.

Working Hours:
  • Mornings 8.30 until 11.30 (additional hours could become available throughout the year)
  • Temporary position until August 2026.
