The Head Teacher and Governing Body of Rogerstone Primary School are seeking to appoint a permanent site manager who will have responsibility for the security, maintenance and development of the whole school site and ensure that the school complies with all health and safety regulations.

 

This post is a full time position, 37 hours per week, working a split shift from 6.30 am - 10.00 am and 2.30pm - 6.30pm (Monday - Thursday) 2.30 pm - 6.00 pm (Friday).

Candidates will be expected:

* to carry out a range of general site management duties.

* to be responsible for key holding and minor repairs.

* to have good inter-personal skills and be able to manage their work effectively.

* to be responsible for Health and Safety.

* to be responsible for monitoring of external contracts relating to premises and facilities and to have day to day supervision of staff working within the school through Service Level  agreements.

The appointment is offered on a full time permanent contract.

There is the requirement for overtime hours to undertake additional jobs such as basic painting and decorating, and additional Health and Safety related paperwork. 

Holidays must be taken during school holidays and not during term time.

This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS).
